About: Learn Startup Event - Beating Unemployment through Entrepreneurship
IEEE GOLD Affinity Group of Cyprus in collaboration with the Association of PhD Candidates in Cyprus invites you to “LEARN STARTUP”, an event dedicated to Cyprus’ entrepreneurship.
Event language will be Greek and will be open to the public.
Recent unemployment statistics show that almost one in three (30%) Cypriots under the age of 30 are unemployed. This is perhaps the best time to rethink about the future work prospects of the new breed of a highly educated workforce. Best of all, it offers the opportunity to break free from the traditional Cypriot dream of landing a government job. But how about becoming more creative by transforming an opportunity into a business? Running your own business is a personal achievement second to none. Learn how to network, identify opportunities, raise funding, set-up a business and market it from young Cypriot entrepreneurs and Business Incubator mentors. Broaden your horizons by learning about entrepreneurship on the island and network with young and dynamic entrepreneurs who will share their experiences and offer us tips on how to weather the economic crisis.
